Ascroft Medical, based on Clegg Street in Oldham, have become a Disability Confident employer.
The oral hygiene specialists – recently recognised and Highly Commended in the National Dental Awards – have taken the first step to become a ‘Disability Confident Level One’ employer.
The Disability Confident scheme aims to help employers make the most of the opportunities provided by employing disabled people.
It is voluntary and has been developed by employers and disabled peoples’ representatives.
The Disability Confident scheme has three levels that have been designed to support an employer on their Disability Confident journey.
Employers must complete each level before moving on to the next.
