Chadderton children learn how to stay safe on site with Countryside Homes

Countryside Homes with St Luke’s CE Primary School, Chadderton

Countryside returns to St Luke’s CE Primary School to continue its community safety initiative following the launch of its second Chadderton development.

Five-star housebuilder, Countryside, has teamed up with St Luke’s CE Primary School in Chadderton to deliver an important lesson in health and safety to its pupils, following the launch of its second development in the area in just three years.

As part of the housebuilder’s community safety initiative, Countryside’s Senior Operational Safety Inspector, Tom Causey, conducted an interactive assembly with the children about the importance of staying safe near building sites.

The informative presentation highlighted the potential hazards found on and around construction sites, as well as how construction workers protect themselves while building new homes. The aim of the assembly was for every child to understand how to be safe and secure when playing near to, or walking by a construction site.

The visit follows Countryside’s launch of its second development in Chadderton, just three years after the opening of its successful site, Radclyffe Gardens. The popularity of the homes off Foxdenton Lane have continued to grow since Radclyffe Green opened its doors in January, with 16 buyers reserving their new home since the launch.

Michael Lonsdale, Headteacher at St Luke’s CE Primary School, commented: “The new housing in the area is going to help support the growing community, however keeping our children safe around the work site is paramount. The assembly and talk from the staff at Countryside has given the children important guidance on how to keep safe and look after themselves and their friends during the future building work.”

Joe Turner, Managing Director, Manchester and Cheshire East, Countryside, said: “The welfare of the communities we build within is extremely important to us and working with nearby schools to ensure the safety of local children is essential. It has been a few years since we last visited St Luke’s CE Primary School to deliver our health and safety presentation and a great deal has changed within that time.

“From new safety protocols and potential hazards to new children starting at the school, we’re pleased to have been able to hold an assembly with the pupils of St Luke’s and introduce them to our new development. We’ve enjoyed being part of the Chadderton community over the last three years and we look forward to continuing to work together with St Luke’s and the wider community as the homes at Radclyffe Green take shape.”

Located off Broadway, Radclyffe Green will comprise 160 two, three and four-bedroom homes, available in detached, semi-detached and mews styles. Prices at Radclyffe Green start from £294,995 and for more information call 0161 820 9725 or visit Countryside’s website: www.countrysidepartnerships.com
